Vision

•  vision is an idealized state for the department.it is the big picture of what the leadership wants the department to look like in the future.
•  The Vision of the Department is to develop the department as a center for academic excellence through research that encourages and nurtures literary, sensibilities, language competence and critical thinking.
  
•  The English Department strengthens the literal education of students by developing a deepened understandingsof language and literacy, the value of critical reading and effective writing and the richness of  literature past and present

Mission  

•  In the English, Linguistics & writing studies department, we teach students how to use language to communicate effectively in a variety of contexts, including academic, creative,business and technical.
